Healthy Snacks at Your Doorstep – NatureBox GIVEAWAY!

I know that I am not the only one with a hectic schedule. It seems that’s just the way life is these days for most of us. If you’re not running from work to get home to make dinner and spend time with the family, you’re running around with your tykes getting errands done, the house cleaned, dinner on the table and a million other projects that are required of you.

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of our days we forget to keep snacks on hand and then we end up grabbing the nearest item healthy or not to shove in our mouth. Totally guilty of that too many times!

I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort to always have something healthy on hand wether it’s a bag of nuts, delicious kale chips or fruits/veggies. This strategy fails when I lack the time to get to the store to replenish my snacks.

Now I don’t have to worry about taking the time to shop for healthy snacks, I don’t have to worry about a pit stop for some high sodium/high fat/high calorie enticing snack.

…to the rescue!

How about healthy snacks delivered right to your door once a month?

“NatureBox helps you eat healthier without needing to change your eating habits. We focus on snacks because that’s the easiest habit to change. Do you know that the average American eats almost 25% of their calories from snacking? In fact, snacking is the leading cause of childhood obesity. NatureBox helps you get more out of your day without wasting calories on the bad stuff.”

We had the opportunity to try out NatureBox and what a treat, literally. 5 Snack bags were delivered right to us. I didn’t have to plan a shopping list and then spend time shopping around the store. I opened up the box and viola…yummy healthy snacks right there.

When I say they are yummy I am not kidding. Every single bag was different, yet delicious.

They are healthy, too.

Nutritional breakdowns and a list of ingredients are listed on their website for each product.

We were lucky to receive all this in the September box:

Umami Roasted Nuts

Umami, a Japanese word that translates to “yummy” or “delicious” is best described as a savory flavor that adds depth and richness to foods. Not only are these nuts a great source of heart healthy fats, the Umami flavor will trigger your savory taste buds and add satisfying levels of flavor without extra sodium.

Pistachio Power Clusters

Heart healthy pistachios, almonds, and cashews take center stage in these power clusters that elevate your usual palmful of nuts to a whole new level. A touch of sea salt gives this a perfect sweet and savory balance that will steer you away from nutrient-sapped, artificially processed snacks for good!

Apple Orchards Granola

Get ready to “fall back” into autumn with our Apple Orchards Granola. Warm cinnamon, tart apples, and whole oats are gently coated with agave and soft-baked into a chewy and comforting granola that will sweeten up your morning without caushing an energy crash hours later.

Toasted Sesame Stix

Did you know that sesame seeds are considered the oldest condiment known to man? They’re also a great source of calcium and when you dip these little sesame stix into hummus, you’ll enjoy an extra nutrient rich afternoon snack!

Big Island Pineapple

Is there any fruit sweeter than a juicy pineapple? This Big Island snacks delivers all of the fiber and natural sweetness of the real thing.

Hungry yet?

Accompanying your yummy treats is a card filled with descriptions of what’s in each bag along with a recipe that includes items in your box.

My favorite snack was the Big Island Pineapple. That bag lasted about a day. I think I gobbled most of the pineapple rings up. Bedge and J-Man may have gotten 1 or 2.

My least favorite snack if I had to pick one would be the Toasted Sesame Stix. They were good but couldn’t compete with the various flavors of the other snacks.

These snacks are great and easy to throw in your pack for camping, climbing, hiking, biking or any other outdoor activity. The sealable bag makes them easy for on-the-go access.

Is it worth it?

For us, yes!

It seems economical and it’s hassle free. We received 5 bags of snacks and 5 divided by $19.95 makes each bag $3.99. Definitely a price you would find in the store. There is no charge for shipping so your flat charge is $19.95.

I do wish there was a bi-monthy shipping option. We devoured our snacks so quickly that I was wishing we had more coming. Maybe we are just piglets since our snacks didn’t last very long.

  1. Our favorite go to snack when we’re outside is granola bars. Easy to pack and the boys like them. A lot!

  2. We spend a lot of time outside — in addition to the traditional raisin, peanuts and choc. chips and various trail mixes we bring frozen grapes (they take a while to melt, prolonging the snack :), tortillas with chunks of cheese, turkey-pepperoni, carrots, cucumber and red pepper sticks and humus. Mini bagels work nicely and if it’s lunch we bring a variety of dips — peanut/almond butter, honey, nutella, hummus, veg dip, various dressings for dipping. Sliced hard fruits too.

  3. Dried fruit and nuts. Thanks!
