Valley of Fire in Pictures

Over the Thanksgiving holiday we went camping in Valley of Fire SP in Nevada. One of our favorite state parks to visit. It’s such a beautiful park with so much to see and do. Here is a recap of our trip in pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Sweet campsite with the ‘portable condo’

J-Man and Dad leading the way

Must hydrate

Beautiful sculptures in the sand stone

Anyone or anything in there?

Big Horn Sheep hoof print (we spotted them across the canyon before taking this)

Big enough to fit inside

 J-Man in the slot canyon

Checking out the view

Trying to keep us warm

3-legged antelope ground squirrel snatching a chip J-Man left on the rock

Ridin’ the red rock

If you’ve never been to Valley of Fire I highly suggest it. There are colors in the sandstone that I have never seen before…purple, yellow and orange. Truly amazing! There are road runners, big horn sheep, gila monsters, tons of lizards and other wildlife that you might happen upon.

Where’s your favorite state park to visit?
