Before you hit the Black Friday sales this weekend here are some gear picks for those outdoorsy folks on your list. They certainly won’t be disappointed if you choose from one of the items below. Some of the items have made it on this list again from last year because I love them that much. Some of the items I’ve recently discovered and I’m so glad I did.
Check back tomorrow for a great list of gear for your tykes.
Holiday Gift Ideas For Your Outdoor Enthusiasts
This knife and cutting board set is a MUST for any camper. The cutting board folds up safely storing your knife when not in use. I use to wrap my knife in a towel and shove it in a plastic bag. Not the brightest idea by any means. Now I don’t need to worry about J-Man or myself, for that matter, getting cut. The outdoor chef on your list would appreciate a gift like this.
Here is a MUST for any outdoor enthusiast. Everyone at one time or another has a cellphone, computer, iPad, iPod or other electronic device that ends up running low on it’s charge or it completely dies while out adventuring. With Goal Zero you have power at your finger tips to get your device charged again. They have a variety of solar kits for any activity along with super cool accessories.
Eno Hammock was on my list last year and I’m sharing them again because a hammock is a great gift for anyone. Use it camping, at the park, relaxing at the beach and even in the backyard. Tykes love them, too! I had the stomach bug while camping a couple weeks ago in Zion. It felt so nice to hang in the hammock in the cool air instead of the stuffy trailer.
If you have a person on your list in need of a day pack, check this one out. This backpack is lightweight, but with the features that keep all of your gear organized and easy to carry. Here’s my review on the Osprey Talon 22
Have someone on your list wishing for a great pair of hiking boots? I have been wearing Vasque boots for years. Their sticky rubber sole allows me to scramble and maneuver terrain with out slipping and sliding. They are very durable and long lasting.
It’s east to stay cozy around the campfire with your significant other in this camp chair. A convenient bottle opener is attached along with insulated beverage holders. Great chair for tailgating, camping, picnics or lounging pretty much anywhere.
This water bottle by Eco Vessel is THE big foot of all water bottles. This beast holds 45 oz of coffee, hot cocoa, water or almost 2 bottles of wine, just sayin’. It’s stainless steel with Eco Vessels TriMax® triple insulation technology so your beverages will stay hot or cold. You can never go wrong with water bottles as a gift.
I am addicted to Overland Equipments bags. I just rediscovered them 2 years ago and I have 4 bags already. They are stylish, functional and so easy to keep clean with a toddler. They also come in numerous colors. My favorite bag I keep going back to is the Donner Bag. Your gal would definitely appreciate an Overland Equipment bag.
Terramar Sports has a wide selection of base layers from synthetic to merino wool. They also have an awesome union suit that is on Bedge’s wish list. You’ll stay comfortable and warm during any outdoor activity.
They are on my list again. Why? Because they have great women’s clothing for not only the outdoors but also for everyday wear. They take pride in their Made in the USA clothing and their environmentally friendly fabrics.
Ibex had me sold on their products when I discovered the Tuck Pant. The pants are a softshell material allowing for stretch, water resistance and durability. They come in both men and women’s sizes and won’t need to be replaced for at least 5+ years. That’s how durable they are. Here’s my review on them.
I am in LOVE with the Capiz down skirt by Sierra Designs. I’ve been wearing it for the past few weeks and it’s not only adorable and stylish (which we all know is important), but it’s also very warm. It’s pairs perfectly with tights and has kept me warm in 30 degree temps. Every outdoor gal needs one of these skirts.
What’s on your wishlist this holiday season? Did I miss any MUST have gear?
