There are companies out there in every industry who’s goal is to provide consumers with an average product and to prosper off of that product. There are also companies who want to provide a quality product for consumers but also give back to the community. Ambler Mountain Works is a company that wants… “to make a positive impact in the lives of those knitting them, the ones wearing them, and everyone in between.” They are a company that truly gives back.
In 1995 Ambler started hand crafting hats and selling them at craft fairs. Now they are a reputable outdoor company catering to the masses all while contributing to non-profits and helping communities around the world.
They are currently educating, empowering and employing women in Nepal…
“It is about creating a livelihood that supports and empowers women in the developing world, creating friendships, bridging cultures and doing good.”
This is the type of company I love to stand behind and support and is one reason why I am sharing them with you today. Also, they make awesome hats that keep our melons (heads ) warm.
Their new Fall/Winter 2012-2013 line is great.
J-Man and I have been wearing a couple Ambler hats this Fall and Winter and they have certainly allowed us to brave the elements in comfort.
During our trip to Zion the temperature was in the 20’s during the evenings and mornings with wind ripping through camp. I’m so glad we had our hats to keep us protected.
I’ve been wearing the Zinnia from their Himilayan line and it so warm. It’s made from 100% wool and the fleece headband inside wicks away sweat, is soft on your skin and keeps you protected from the elements.
If you are still looking for stocking stuffers for your tykes this would be a perfect addition.
Ambler is coming out with some great summer hats so check back in the Spring when they launch their new collection. There will be something for tykes and adults. I can’t wait!
