Go Anywhere, Do Anything Shoes for Tykes – KEEN Alamosa WP

If you don’t know by now that I am a huge fan of KEEN’s footwear then well…I don’t know where you’ve been. haha

I love that KEEN not only has a HUGE variety of shoes for Mom’s and Dad’s but also for tykes. They have shoes for every season, every activity and pretty much for every occasion.

J-Man’s first pair of KEEN shoes were the Newport H2 sandals. He wore those things everyday in the summer and they held up so well we passed them down to his younger friend.

J-Man continues to wear the Newport H2 sandals every summer and now we’ve branched out to KEEN’s other footwear lines.

KEEN has such a large selection of footwear that you’re sure to find one pair of shoes that are versatile enough to allow your tykes to go to school, play in the park and go hiking.

We found that pair of shoes with the Alamosa WP shoes.

J-Man has been taking recess EVERYDAY at school in these shoes, he wore them camping in the rain last week and has hit the trails numerous times in them.

What’s so great about the Alamosa WP shoes?

They are super durable and waterproof. The rain and small amount of snow didn’t stop J-Man from enjoying himself while camping. The upper portion of the shoe is made of a water resistant leather with a waterproof lining and a non-marking sole.

Even though they are waterproof, they are still breathable. J-Man’s feet don’t get too hot and sweaty and they don’t stink. Thank goodness!

There is enough traction on the sole that J-Man was able to traverse wet logs without falling off and they keep him stable on the trails.  (Ok. He fell off a few times. He’s still practicing his balance. ;))

The huge factor, as always, is…can J-Man put them on and take them off on his own? Yes, he can! They have the bungee lace system keeping them snug on the foot but allowing enough room to get them off and on easily.

They come in versatile colors making them a good everyday shoe.

There were a couple days of  ‘breaking them in’ when he first wore them. According to J-Man they were putting pressure on the sides of his ankles. After a couple days they didn’t bother him at all.

If your still looking for a ‘Back to school’ shoe that will last all year long, no doubt it’s the Alamosa WP shoes.
