Lotions, oils, sprays, wipes…there are so many choices for sunscreen application it’s hard to decide what’s best, what’s easiest and what’s the fastest. Trying to put sunscreen on a squirmy toddler and not leave any areas exposed is not easy.
That’s why I’ve been using MD Mom’s sunscreen wipes since J-Man was an infant. They are super easy to use, travel easily and provide great protection.
When I had the opportunity to use MD Mom’s Baby Silk Daily UV Shield Lotion I said YES! I put sunscreen on J-Man everyday before school and especially anytime we are hiking or playing outdoors. He has such fair skin that he attracts those harmful rays. I have had many severe sunburns (I’m afraid to admit) and I don’t want J-Man experiencing that torture or pain.
“…And don’t forget, your chance of UV damage increases as your altitude does. Just 1 to 2 severe burns prior to the age of 18 can double the risk of melanoma, so it’s key to make UV protection part of your family’s daily regime…”
(Dr. JJ Levenstein, Pediatrician and co-founder of MD Moms)
It’s been nice to use a daily sunscreen that doesn’t have a “sunscreen smell”. The one where it reminds you of summer or you wish you were on a beach enjoying a frozen cocktail and relaxing. Yeah, that smell. Anyways, there is no smell to this sunscreen, it doesn’t have a greasy feeling and doesn’t leave a white pasty look. It’s definitely great everyday protection for your tyke. A small amount goes a long way so you don’t have to drench your tyke in it.
