What is Green Hour? Green Hour was created by the National Wildlife Federation and is defined as a time for unstructured play and interaction with the natural world.

This weeks Green Hour feature is a little hike we took to a water fall, Faux Falls, that’s close to home. J-Man had never been there, so I thought it would be fun to visit somewhere new.
Seeing the water fall for the first time
Taking his own picture of the water
Hiking to the upper portion of the falls
Maneuvering over a rocky section
Great view of the Moab Rim
Smelling the Indian Paint Brush
I’ve noticed as my schedules been getting busier that it’s much harder to get a Green Hour in each day. At times we can only get 30 minutes and other times only 15 minutes. I think any amount of time outside is good and we should all strive for more but sometimes that just isn’t possible. It made me think about you Mom’s and Dad’s that work out of the house and how you juggle work, errands, homework and still try and get in some outside time.
How do you do it? What tricks or tips can you share? What’s your favorite outdoor activity with your tyke?
Hopefully, with your ideas and inspirations more and more people will be getting in a Green Hour or at least a little more time outside.
Have you joined me on Facebook? If not, come on over and share your Green Hour stories AND adventures.
