What is Green Hour? Green Hour was created by the National Wildlife Federation and is defined as a time for unstructured play and interaction with the natural world.

This week was all about the bike. J-Man loves his bike he got for his birthday. He feels the need to ride it everyday and I don’t blame him. His favorite area to ride is the dirt lot next door. There are a few mini hills that he practices riding up and then cruising down. He is still perfecting his balance on this new balance bike and he is doing a great job. I’m sure by this summer he will be needing a bike with pedals.

On our way to the dirt lot

Can’t get their fast enough

MUST stop and say hello to the ants

Made it to the dirt

This is the best!

Found a dirt pile. MUST climb.

King of the world!

Need some ideas for your Green Hour? Check out these activities from the National Wildlife Federation. There’s bound to be something your tyke will enjoy.

Here are some fun outdoor games.

Remember, Earth Day is April 22 along with Picnic for the Planet. Great opportunity for a Green Hour.
